Dr. Caren Fortin, BHK, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Caren has been working as a chiropractor in the Oakville area since 2007. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Windsor. She later graduated from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College at the top of her class. Dr. Caren has a hands-on practice and treats patients using a variety of techniques including manual hands-on adjustments, mobilizations, soft tissue/muscle treatment, drop piece adjustments, activator, rehabilitation exercises, McKenzie therapies, rocktape/neuro-proprioceptive applications, and patient education. Dr. Fortin believes that an active lifestyle is essential to overall health and also practices what she preaches. An athlete all her life, Dr. Fortin has been involved in competitive track & field, volleyball, and rowing. She has always enjoyed running, and now CrossFit as well.

Dr. Ahmed Alhamdan, BSc, DC
Doctor of Chiropractic
Dr. Ahmed attended New York Chiropractic College and graduated in 2019 as the Class Winner of Liberio A. Violini award for his clinical excellence and dedication to service. He has also completed various certifications including Contemporary Medical Acupuncture, Sport Injuries and Concussion Management, Custom Orthotics, Instrument Assisted Soft-Tissue Therapy, Cox Flexion Distraction, and Trigger Point therapy. Through his multidisciplinary approach that involves a combination of Chiropractic adjustments, advanced soft tissue release, pain relieving modalities and therapeutic exercise, Dr. Ahmed works to accelerate healing and improve the lifestyles of all his patients by achieving optimal function and long-lasting results.

Nancy Friedman, M.S.W. R.S.W.
Registered Social Worker
Nancy is a Registered Social Worker with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, a Bachelor of Social Work, a Master of Social Work and a Certificate in Teaching Effectiveness. She provides individual, couple and family counselling to children, adolescents, adults and seniors of diverse cultures, religions, abilities, sexual orientation, and expression identity to help with any challenges hindering their everyday lives. This includes Addiction, Anger Management, Anxiety, Assertiveness, Attachment, Blended Families, Body Image, Burnout, Caregiving, Communication, co-parenting conflict, Depression, Divorce/Separation, Employment, Feeling of Sexual Inadequacy, Family Violence, Immigration adjustment, Intergenerational Issues, Job Satisfaction, Life Transitions, Loss, Parent-Child Conflict, Post-Partum Depression, Relationship, Self Esteem, Stress, Suicide Ideation, Surviving Physical, Sexual and Emotional Abuse, Work Related Conflict. Lisa Marie Foreman, B.Sc., M.OMSc.
Osteopathic Manual Practitioner
Lisa Marie earned her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from the University of Guelph. She then went on to attain her Diploma in Massage Therapy from Sutherland-Chan. Lisa Marie continued her education as she completed her Masters of Osteopathic Manual Science and is a member of the Ontario Osteopathic Association. Lisa Marie has worked as a board examiner for the College of Massage Therapists of B.C. and operated her own clinic in North Vancouver. For over 20 years, Lisa Marie has been working in a variety of clinical settings from acquired brain injury patients and motor vehicle accident victims to common musculoskeletal issues.

Hong Ma, R.Ac., R.TCMP
Acupuncturist & TCM Practitioner
Hong Ma is a Registered TCM Practitioner and Registered Acupuncturist in Ontario. She completed her Chinese Medical degree from Beijing University of Traditional Chinese Medicine over a period of five years. She has past experience working extensively in the health care system of China. For the past 20 years she has been working in Toronto and Oakville, offering her services to a wide range of patients. Hong has been teaching Acupuncture and TCM at Academy Clinical Chinese Medicine of Toronto. She is a member in good standing with CTCMPAO and The Canadian Society of Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Dr. Michelle Salga, BTR (dip.), BSc., ND
Naturopathic Doctor
Dr. Michelle Salga is a licensed Naturopathic Doctor certified in bio-identical hormone therapy. She has a special interest in correcting hormone imbalances and works with a team of nurse practitioners to give her patients optimal care. Hormonal concerns such as menopause, thyroid imbalances, polycystic ovarian syndrome, infertility, low testosterone, low libido, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, post-partum hormonal deficiencies and menstrual disorders are simply a few common health concerns that are treated in her office successfully. Dr. Michelle treats health concerns of all kinds varying from digestive disturbances, chronic fatigue, skin problems and depression/anxiety. Being a Naturopathic Doctor, she uses natural treatments such clinical nutrition, herbs, homeopathy, acupuncture and supplementation to correct the health problem and possible nutritional deficiencies.

Lisa J. Rutherford, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
A graduate of Trillium College, Lisa has been working as a Registered Massage Therapist at Wellness for the Body since 2013. During college, she participated in monthly outreaches, treating clients with Multiple Sclerosis and Parkinson's. Lisa maintains a keen interest in working with clients who are affected by these conditions. Having travelled to Thailand, Lisa received hands on training in Thai Massage and Indie Head Massage, extending her list of services available at our clinic. These treatments are in addition to Reflexology and Reiki, giving her clients a full range of therapy options.

Rachel Mastrangelo, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Rachel graduated as a Registered Massage Therapist from Byran College in 2020. Having suffered an injury of her own in the past, and receiving beneficial treatment by a massage therapist, lead her on the path to becoming an RMT. Rachel has experience treating clients and athletes with scoliosis, cystic fibrosis, muscle pain, arthritis, and more. She also has a certificate in Trimesters Massage Therapy for Pregnancy. Rachel provides Swedish massage, lymphatic drainage, facia, stretching, joint mobilization as well as other relaxation techniques. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, hiking, biking and enjoying the outdoors.

Andrea Nederveen, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Andrea is a graduate of the Canadian Therapeutic College and has been a practicing Registered Massage Therapist since 2005. She has had many opportunities to travel and it is a big part of her life. It was a trip down east that actually inspired her to build her own career as a massage therapist. Andrea has worked in both Spa and Chiropractic settings, treating a wide variety of conditions such as muscle pain, migraines, stress, fibromyalgia and degenerative diseases (e.g. Ankylosing Spondylitis, an inflammation of the joints between the spine and pelvis).

Cynthia Luo, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Fully enjoying her career as an RMT, Cynthia’s passion and confidence is evident in all she does. She believes lifelong education is the way to continually improve knowledge and skills. Her reputation as a soft-tissue specialist came about from her unique style and technique. The extensive training she received in Chinese Tuina coupled with Swedish massage skills and Japanese shiatsu allow her clients to enjoy the best outcome for their condition. Treatments also include stretching and joint mobilization, if needed. Cynthia's job satisfaction comes when her clients express that they feel better, faster.

Amanda Tune, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Amanda has been a Registered Massage Therapist since October of 2007. Her style is deep tissue, with an emphasis on therapeutic work. For several years, after her youngest of 2 daughters was born, she taught infant massage, and it continues to be an area of interest for her. Amanda’s other interests include fitness, and bodybuilding, and she plans to get her personal training certification in the near future. Other interests include travelling, making soap and reading.

Oleksii (Alex) Gorobet, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Alex’s diverse clinical experience and a solid medical background are in good standing throughout his practice in multidisciplinary clinics in Ontario and British Columbia.
As an RMT, Alex treats a wide range of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Working with different conditions and patients he takes a strong interest in treating chronic pain, sport injuries, post-concussion symptoms, headaches, post-surgical rehabilitation, sciatica, and osteoarthritis. While focusing on Swedish massage he uses a variety of different manual modalities such as deep tissue and trigger point release, myofascial manipulation, stretching, and muscle energy techniques.

Zheng Zhu (Jason) Li, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist
Jason graduated as a Registered Massage Therapist from Everest College. He is experienced in providing Swedish and deep tissue massage, effleurage, lymphatic drainage, hot stone, cupping and various other massage and relaxation techniques. Jason is very skilled in determining the best and appropriate course of treatment needed for each client and is able to guide clients through range of motion and other special tests. The care and improvement of each client is his number one priority and will continue to be throughout his career. Jason is constantly updating his skills and continues to improve as a practitioner, thus in the long run benefiting the needs of his clients.
