PHYSIOTHERAPY - CURRENTLY UNAVAILABLE

Physiotherapy is an understanding of how and why movement and function take place. A physiotherapist will analyze the impact of injury, disease, disorders, or lifestyle on movement and function and aim to enhance or restore function of many of the body's systems. Their approach incorporates a broad range of physical therapy and physiological therapeutic interventions and aids.

Hands-on treatment may include moving joints in specific directions and at different speeds to regain movement (joint mobilization and manipulation), muscle stretching, passive movements of the affected body part, or having the patient move the body part against the therapist’s resistance to improve muscle activation and timing. Specific soft tissue techniques such as manual trigger point release may also be used to improve the mobility and function of tissue and muscles.

Our Physiotherapist may also incorporate acupuncture, dry needling and dry cupping into treatments sessions.

OSTEOPATHY

A hands-on gentle approach used to identify structural changes and rhythms in the body. The practice depends on detailed knowledge of anatomy, physiology and biomechanics, paired with a highly developed sense of palpation (touch). It treats movement restrictions in your body tissues by removing restrictions to the natural flow of body fluids (lymphatic, vascular, and neurological), which must be liberated, preserved and maintained. When the body has no restrictions, it has the inherent ability to heal itself.

Osteopathy is based on all parts of the body functioning together in an integral manner. Not only can Osteopathy successfully treat problems with any joint in the body, but it can also help to rebalance any stresses or strains which can benefit the entire body. Whether it is sports injuries, ageing, illness, disease or poor posture, Osteopathy can help.

The practice of Osteopathy includes, but is not limited to Manual Therapy; Craniosacral Therapy; Lymphatic Drainage; Myofascial Release; Muscle Energy Technique and Nutrition.

Also, benefits include relief from pain, allergies, dizziness, insomnia, digestive issues, PMS, menopausal discomfort and more.
