Dr. Tara Brown, (Hon) BA Kin, DC, ART®, D.Ac
Doctor of Chiropractic
Active Release Techniques, Acupuncture & Graston Technique Provider

Dr Tara Brown DCDr. Tara’s philosophy of healthy living has been instilled since a very young age.  Her entire family has participated in competitive sports and each still compete at a high level, especially in alpine skiing. Dr. Tara’s sister earned a ski scholarship and her brother is currently on the Canadian Alpine Ski Team. Dr. Tara ski-raced competitively, but now stays in shape by running road races at the 10K and half marathon distances.

Dr. Tara understands the significance of maintaining a healthy functioning body, not only for sport at an elite level, but for everyday activities in general. When a ski injury hampered her performance at 14 years of age, she turned to a chiropractor to help her recover. This gave her the passion and drive to become a chiropractor herself as she wanted to provide the same quality of care to others.

Dr. Tara began her pursuit of health and wellness by attending the University of Western Ontario earning a Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Kinesiology. She then attended the rigorous 4 year Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College (CMCC) program in Toronto to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Dr. Tara graduated with clinic honors and further enhanced her skills and education by attaining certification in Active Release Techniques®, Graston® Techniques, and Contemporary Medical Acupuncture. This has provided her with several effective tools to assist patients in their recovery from injury and getting them on the path to wellness.

Dr. Tara looks forward to working with her patients to reach their optimal health potential!

Gabriella Tozser, RMT
Registered Massage Therapist

Gabriella Tozser RMTGabriella is a graduate of ICT Kikkawa College, Toronto. She received her diploma and certificate of Massage Therapy in 2009.

Growing up in Hungary, Gabriella's quest to be a professional member of a health services team in Canada remained virtually hidden for several years. Gabriella's grandmother, who had been working in the vineyard for several days, was complaining of a very sore shoulder and asked Gabriella to massage it. She was only seven years old. The result was so satisfying that the massage became a weekly request from her grandmother and it wasn’t long before other family members began taking advantage of Gabriella’s special gift. She realised that the healing power of touch created by massage could help many who suffer from pain.

During her training at Kikkawa, she volunteered her expertise at Baycrest Hospital, The Terry Fox Run and the Department of Justice of Ontario to name a few. Over the years, Gabriella has treated many types of sports-related injuries, slip and fall, automobile accidents, as well as conditions that affect the nervous system. Treating these types of injuries and conditions is an ongoing focus for Gabriella. Her therapeutic methods have successfully relieved the symptoms of headaches and migraines, neck and back pain, Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, strains and sprains and sciatica. She integrates Swedish Massage and passive stretching techniques with Hydrotherapy. She also utilizes fascial techniques, Trigger Point Therapy and joint mobilizations in her treatments.

Gabriella's additional training includes Deep Tissue Massage Therapy, which uses specific techniques to effectively treat muscles that are found deeper within the superficial muscle layers (not to be confused with deeper Swedish Massage, see article). Her future endeavors include learning about acupuncture and nutrition.

Specialties: pregnancy massage; reiki; stress reduction; rehabilitation; treatment of headaches and migraines, sports injuries, post-surgical and chronic conditions.
